The final round of Gueens.
Definitely born out of a thirst to give mainstream drag representation a run for its money, the latest set of Gunts had already honed special abilities from impeccable showmanship to drop dead makeup skills before they even showed up at the front door. Who knows what other ones they’ll learn and hone before taking over the world?
LaZanya Ontre
(joined April 2014)

This queen. When she joined and then left for Philly to conquer Drag Wars (top 4 out of 25 queens!), we thought she might never come back. She did, and with a vengeance. How do you say O-R-I-G-I-N-A-L-I-T-Y? Flawlessly curated looks, custom mixes, razor sharp wit, seasoned performance chops and she can drop into the splits. Her greatest talent is her poise; before she turned 21 she was able to enter any bar she wanted without ever having a fake ID. This video is a fantastic introduction to the one, the only, LaZanya Ontre:
Burt Sienna
(joined April 2014)

Much like their props, most people have a 3-4 year shelf-life in Savannah until they expire. Burt came and went way too fast, but always brought some element to the table that wasn’t going to last through the night. Ah, such is the ether they call “performance.” Their first performance depicted what Matthew Mcconaughey's character from True Detective does when he’s at home alone - which is apparently strip to Wuthering Heights and shotgun a beer.
Kia Sedona
(joined July 2014)

At this point, Kia Sedona is the only bio-queen in the HoG. Another hungry performer whose need for a stage is so great, she also likes to play house as burlesque vixen Edie Bellini. Her greatest struggle is being a bio-queen in the sometimes small minded South, but this Alabama raised auto has the chops and the fire to subdue any stubborn audience member… and enough room to take us to the club.
Inertia Bazaar
(joined Jan. 2015)

Just like the name implies, you were never sure which direction and at what velocity she was going to go in, but you knew it was going to be fierce. With on-point looks, moves like a diva, and no wigs, she is truly the Grace Jones of the group. Hopefully Inertia will join us again, but until then, check out her fashions here.
Edna Allan Hoe
(joined Feb. 2015)

Garbage, uniqueness, nerve and talons, Edna is the embodiment of Gunt. A true for LGBTQIA activist, Edna was president of SCAD’s Queers and Allies organization, and the first person to ever unite the HoG, Savannah Sweet Tease Burlesque Revue, and Club One’s Cabaret for a Pulse Orlando Benefit. She tries so hard to be busted that no matter how trashy she looks it’s always perfect. So dependable that when a Gueen had to drop out of a Disney themed show, Edna was able to whip out a quick drop dead look as Roz from Monsters, Inc.
That finally wraps up the House of Gunt’s full roster of members (hehe). New talent comes and goes, and we are always on the lookout for more. If you, or someone you know, is in the Savannah area with an urge to purge some emotions or toxic bile on a stage, tell ‘em to come through the backdoor of the House of Gunt.
