What's good, Atlanta?

With so much happening this weekend: the parades, the motorcycle Dykes, and the influx of rotten gays swarming our Growlr feeds, it's hard to keep your head *straight*. WUSSY is here with a rundown of all the best events in and out of the Park this weekend.

And remember: Wells Fargo, Delta, and other paying Pride sponsors love you more than your own parents!

October 7 – The Other Show: Pride Edition with Trixie Mattel @ Jungle Atlanta

What better way to kick off Pride Weekend than with the kookiest cast of queens in town at The Other Show? This special Pride edition will feature Drag Race fan favorite, Trixie Mattel. Hosted by Edie Cheezburger, this cabaret style sit down show also features Jaye Lish, Biqtch Puddin’, Evah Destruction, Abhorra Arrohba, and Minni Pearl Necklace

October 7 – Hot Fruit: Pride Weekend Kick Off @ Mary’s ATL

Our favorite Friday night Pride party returns to East Atlanta Village, and we can’t wait to partake! Celebrate the birthday of beloved local DJ and Deep South head witch, Vicki Powell. DJ’s AMBROSIA SALAD (LA) and BOUFFANT BOUFFANT (NOLA) will also take a twirl in the DJ Booth.

October 8 – Atlanta Pride: Local Comedy Showcase @ Piedmont Park

Don’t miss the first everrr Comedy Showcase, featuring some of our favorite local queer comedians: Andrew Markle, Bob Killough, Brent Star, Ian Aber, and Sam Gordan. Hosted by the fabulous Julie Osbourne, this is sure to be a hoot. Get your life at the Bud Light Stage Saturday afternoon!

October 8 - Atlanta Pride: Trans March @ Piedmont Park

One of the newest Pride traditions returns to spotlight the Trans community as it becomes increasingly more visible. Your participation and support for this march will show organizers that we support more diverse programming at our Pride Festival. Attendees are encouraged to bring signs/banners to show your love for the transmen and women in your life.

October 9 – Starlight Cabaret @ Piedmont Park

The largest drag show in the South is one of our favorite things about Atlanta Pride each year. The show features a diverse range of talent from all across the city, from newcomers to seasoned veterans. If you love drag, make sure you get there early to get a good spot!
